January’s coming to an end and it’s interesting tracking last year’s market info with the present. Reviewing our Minneapolis MLS for closed transactions for McLeod County MN since January 1, 2009 there have been 10 closings to date. Looking back last year the number was also 10 as of 1/23/08. There were 22 total homes sold in McLeod County MN in January 2008 and it appears there are 14 more recorded on the Minneapolis MLS to close by the end of this month. A lion’s share of the closings occuring the last week of the month is typical.
We could run statistics in our Regional MLS of Minnesota database on Hutchinson MN real estate only, yet know our market area includes farther out areas of Renville County MN homes and land as well as Meeker County Minnesota (and many other locations). Presently we have 32 PENDING sales here in McLeod Co MN. Some are scheduled to close yet this month and others may not close for several months. REOs (Bank owned foreclosures) and more commonly short sales tend to occasionally drag out a bit, sometimes having to extend closing dates.
Regarding McLeod County MN Homes SOLD since January 1, 2009 there are 10. Six homes were priced under $100,000; 2 more were under $200,000; and one under $300,000 and one more under $400,000.
